Information we collect
PartThis may collect account information such as your email address and profile name; photographs and details you submit for a part scan; scan results and fit feedback; device, browser, and security information; and billing records when paid products are enabled.
How scan photographs are used
Photographs are used to analyze visible features, compare the submitted item with controlled catalog records, save your scan history, prevent duplicate processing, troubleshoot failures, and improve the service. Do not upload photographs containing faces, addresses, payment cards, confidential documents, or unrelated personal information.
Service providers
PartThis uses infrastructure and service providers to operate the product. These may include Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; Vercel for application hosting; OpenAI for photo analysis when real vision is enabled; and Stripe for payment processing when paid checkout is enabled. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
AI processing
When real vision is enabled, submitted images and related scan context may be sent to an AI service to extract visible evidence. AI output is treated as a hypothesis and is compared with PartThis catalog records. PartThis does not promise that AI output is complete or correct.
Retention
Account scans and feedback may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, support, legal, and product-improvement purposes. Temporary or failed processing records may be removed sooner. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting support.
Security
PartThis uses access controls, private storage, server-only secrets, and encrypted connections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of account information. You can also choose not to upload an image and instead browse the catalog manually. Some records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Children
PartThis is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for adults handling household or trade repair parts.
